I recently worked on a commercial for Juicy Drop Pops, a sour lollipop made by Topps - the Ring Pops and Bazooka gum people. This commercial pits a ninja (me) against a pirate to see who can withstand the sourness longer.

It just started airing on Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, CW Sat Morning Kids, ABC Sat Morning Kids, Nicktoons, and Disney XD. Check it out to see who wins!

Clash of the Titans remake.

Clash of the Titans was my favorite movie growing up, mostly because I was way into Greek mythology and partly because I simply did not know any better.

I just watched the teaser trailer for the remake, and you’re about to as well:

I would like to think I have better judgement than when I did as a kid, but I’m mysteriously drawn to the remake. Am I alone in this?

If a kid in the 3rd grade wins his class’s spelling bee contest, should he be called the spelling bee champion of the whole school? That’s an obvious answer, right?

So then how is it that the winner of Major League Baseball’s championship series, The World Series, is crowned World Champs — even though Team USA (fielding what was arguably an MLB all-star caliber team) only got as far as the semifinals in the World Baseball Classic?

How about you just call it “MLB Champions” until you’re arguably the best country in the world at the sport? The same goes for all other American sport that refers to their own champions the same way.

I absolutely love this commercial.

my directoral debut, 8 days later is an official selection of the 2009 coney island film festival!!

coney island is an awesome place just by itself, so sticking a film festival there just completely brings it over the top. imagine taking a giant bowl of your favorite ice cream and topping it off with fourth of july fireworks.
