“I tried out one of those foam memory mattresses… I forgot what it was like.”
I wish I’d seen this live on SNL but I can live with having this in my youtube favorites.
been crazy hectic at the new job so I haven’t updated this much as you can see.
the only thing I can update you on is this clip. it’s been my life the past week or so.
EXT. CHINATOWN - OUTSIDE OF NEW GREEN BO RESTAURANT - NIGHT
AJ, wearing an orange t-shirt and a black hoodie as his sole contribution for Halloween, waits for his take-out order of zha jiang mian outside New Green Bo restaurant in Chinatown. He is approached by a young couple who are clearly out-of-towners.
AJ
Yeah?
GIRLFRIEND
Can you tell us where we can find some sushi?
AJ is taken aback by this question. He wonders to himself, is he on Punk’d? These people really don’t know the difference between Chinese and Japanese food? He stares at the two of them for a few awkward moments.
CLOSE UP - AJ
GIRLFRIEND
But they have that here sometimes.
A quick montage of random people asking for sushi in Chinatown. The store owners all shrug or shake their head no.
BOYFRIEND
Do you know where we can find sushi?
AJ
Uh. The closest spots I can think of are in the East Village.
Do you know where the East Village is?
BOYFRIEND
I think so.
AJ
Okay, then try…
WIDE SHOT - OUTSIDE OF NEW GREEN BO RESTAURANT
AJ is giving directions with plenty of hand gestures. As the couple scurries away in their search for raw fish we see AJ shaking his head ever so disapprovingly. Just then, he is motioned inside the restaurant to pick up his order.
FADE TO BLACK.
was chatting with my buddy arnold about how it’s so ridiculously hot today and he had this to say:
i passed by bikram yoga and went inside to cool off
WOW.
I came across this brilliant blog today. it’s run by a chinese-born engineering student in the midwest who breaks down photos of chinese character tattoos.
good times.
so my buddy ming swung by my desk and saw the gmail feature for gmail chat.
ming: hey wow, gmail doesn’t offer that feature for the mac.
me: (arrogantly) uh, yeah, there’s a lot of shit you don’t get on the mac.
ming: like viruses.
zing.
turns out this thing has been around for a few years but no one sent me the link so it’s new to me.
and possibly new to you.
take this out for a spin in williamsburg and you’ll easily set a new record.
there’s a publishing company out there that shares a name with slang for the ol’ Number Two. so unfortunate.
