so it was brought to my attention today that I am now on imdb. of all the projects I’ve worked on somehow drawing restraint 9 was the film that got me on there.

so what does this mean, you ask? absolutely nothing.

this distinction was prior held by joe versus the volcano. that means the top spot held firm for 16 years (!) until this pile of shit was projected on the big screen.

those who know me know that every now and then a reality tv show comes around that totally sucks me in. the last one to do that was the bachelor: paris, and right now this distinction goes to project runway.

the new season just started last week and it already kicks ass. I’m just gonna go ahead and DVR the entire season.

right now I’m rooting for that dude with the tats on his neck. he probably won’t win it, but his tats are so fucking sweet. dude. sweet. dude.

you know I’m never one to be the “please check out my stuff” type but in this particular instance I’d really like for you to please check out something I’m currently working in.

we’re only about 25% into the shooting of ghostbusters but the director figured he had enough to make a teaser trailer from what we have. and this is what it looks like.

so, yeah.

it’s almost as if italy had just won a sporting contest of some sort.

the nathan’s annual hot dog contest has just ended and kobayashi is still the world champion. this is his sixth in a row.

2006 saw the highest level of competition this contest has ever seen with the two top competitors nipping at the world record. coney island has never seen anyone come close to challenging kobayashi so when the clock ran out with less than a 2 hotdogs separating the two the crowd went absolutely nuts.

kobayashi bested his word record by ONE QUARTER HOTDOG (fuck!). so now the record rests at 53 and three quarters.

the new york asian film festival, ie: my week+ of seeing a film every night, has come to an end.

in a word it was a BLAST. I was glad I made a conscious decision to watch as many of the films as I could.

as expected linda linda linda kicked ass. I’m definitely going to get a copy of it even if it’s going to be like $40 + shipping. I read that the bootlegs out there don’t have english subs so keep that in mind if you’re looking for one…

what else did I like? well there was that whole lovefest over it’s only talk, my obsession over shinobi, the absolute absurdity and hilarity that was ski jumping pairs: road to torino, the innocent love story of a feather in the wind, the highly stylized korean revenge drama a bittersweet life, and pacchigi!: a tale of 60’s japan that involves a romeo & juliet-esque romance of a japanese boy and a korean girl, gang fights, and a country awakening to freedom.

can’t wait till next year’s.
